Headshot of Stephen Braswell

Managing Director Stephen Braswell, Deputy Head of Nardello & Co.’s New York Office, has nearly 20 years of hands-on experience.

Stephen is an accomplished corporate risk management professional who conducts domestic and international corporate due diligence investigations for Fortune 100 companies, financial services firms, and law firms. He has extensive experience in litigation support, asset tracing, reputational due diligence, and in investigation leaks of information, short selling attacks, and corporate control contests.

Coupled with his in-depth understanding of the evolving open source research environment, Stephen has experience identifying and interviewing potential witnesses in complex civil litigation and white collar criminal matters.

Since joining Nardello & Co., Stephen has been involved in a variety of matters, including investigations supporting a global food services client targeted by a negative media campaign and potential proxy battle; a litigation support matter involving the theft of intellectual property and assets from a construction services client in Asia; and a wide-ranging investigation of research firms suspected of initiating a short-selling attack.

Earlier in his career, Stephen was the director of the due diligence and strategic research practice in the cyber security division of a global professional services company. He managed due diligence investigations of companies and individuals in the US, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America in anticipation of executive hiring, board appointments, transactions, and initial public offerings. Stephen began his career at a boutique security consulting and investigative firm where he undertook complex investigations for law firms, and corporate and entertainment industry clients.
