Before joining Nardello & Co., Ken spent over a decade with the forensic investigations practices of large consultancy firms in the UK and Australia, conducting internal and external investigations and providing dispute support and fraud risk advisory services to  law firms, corporates, and private clients in the EMEA and APAC regions.

A UK-qualified Chartered Accountant, Ken also holds a specialist certificate in Anti-Corruption studies from the International Compliance Association.

Representative matters

  • Lead investigator of fraud and financial misconduct against a UNHWI by a long-term trusted service provider. The multi-disciplinary investigation included an extensive forensic accounting review of $85 million in expenses, intelligence gathering and confidential human-source interviews with industry specialists, and the design and build of a bespoke data review and analysis platform.
  • Lead investigator for an insider trading review into a series of offshore trusts on behalf of a wealth management company. The 12-month investigation included extensive transaction tracing, funds flow analysis, and investment mapping of a complex and obtuse web of investments. The investigation uncovered a significantly greater problem than the client’s own internal review had identified, leading to regulatory self-reporting and extensive restructuring of the client’s operations.
  • Investigation into corrupt use of funds by a member association of a global sporting body. Ken conducted investigative interviews and source inquiries and worked in collaboration with the local police to identify embezzlement and criminal activity, leading to criminal convictions against the organisation’s management.
  • Multi-year investigation and litigation support for a long-running, multi-billion dollar civil fraud case alleging improper accounting by a UK software firm that was acquired by a global IT company.
