Nardello & Co. Managing Director Wendy Wu has been appointed as independent data monitor by U.S. District Judge David O. Carter and approved by the Los Angeles City Council, as part of an updated agreement to the 2022 settlement of the long-running homelessness lawsuit brought by the L.A. Previously, as an Assistant US Attorney for the Central District of California, she led investigations and prosecutions for the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section, including inquiries into computer intrusions, internet fraud, criminal copyright infringement, theft of trade secrets, cyber exploitation of victims, financial fraud, and identity theft.

Nardello & Co. has undertaken some of the world’s most prominent investigations. Recent engagements include tracing assets in the Purdue Pharma, Alex Jones, and FTX cases, and helping Polymarket identify market manipulation by anonymous users. The firm has also been retained for the defamation case brought by President Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron of France against Candace Owens.
