Headshot of David Raskin

David Raskin brings exceptional depth and experience to the firm’s global practices, with a distinguished career spanning both public service and private practice.

For two decades, David served as one of the leading national security prosecutors, overseeing some of the US Department of Justice’s most sensitive and complex international investigations. He also spent more than four years as a partner at an international law firm, where he represented multinational banks, corporations, and high-profile individuals against federal prosecution and regulatory enforcement actions.

Most recently, David served as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for National Security, where he oversaw investigations and prosecutions targeting the Hamas terrorist organization in the wake of October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel and provided advice on mission-critical initiatives in areas of counterintelligence, counterterrorism, foreign investment review, cyber threats, sanctions, and export control. His work often involved coordination with intelligence agencies and foreign governments.

In his 12 years at the Office of the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, David rose to Chief of the office’s Terrorism and National Security Unit and handled some of the most important international terrorism investigations and prosecutions in US history, including the prosecution of Zacarias Moussaoui for his role in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

In private practice, David represented companies, audit committees, and senior executives in sensitive matters and corporate crises that warranted comprehensive internal investigation.

David was law clerk to the Honorable Leonard D. Wexler, US District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. He has also been a Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia Law School and an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School.
