Conducting active shooter assessments for a manufacturing company

Following a deadly active shooter incident at a neighboring business, a manufacturing corporation that offered facility tours and maintained a public retail outlet engaged Nardello & Co. to conduct an active shooter assessment of their facilities and operations. Having witnessed the effect on the employees of the victim business, as well as the commercial impact to the community, our client sought an immediate assessment of their preparedness. Led by experts with first-hand experience in responding to active shooter incidents, the Nardello & Co. team undertook a comprehensive review, which included facility walkthroughs, employees interviews, an analysis of existing security measures, and an assessment of the threat posed by employees who left on bad terms. In addition to revising company response plans and coordinating enterprise-wide training, the team provided the client written recommendations, sorted by criticality, as to how the company and its workforce should react if faced with an active shooter.
