A global investment firm that suspected that one of its devices had been compromised through installation of spyware retained Nardello & Co. to conduct forensic analysis on the mobile device. Nardello & Co.’s team completed an advanced forensic acquisition of the device’s data and analyzed it for known indicators of compromise, using both commercial and open-source tools. Additionally, the team conducted root-level analysis within the mobile device file system to identify additional forensic artifacts to confirm the compromise.
