Executing an antitrust compliance audit of two global companies subject to court-ordered monitorship
Nardello & Co. assembled a qualified team to execute an antitrust compliance audit of two complex global companies subject to court-ordered monitorship following a merger transaction. On behalf of the United States Department of Justice, the team reviewed both companies’ antitrust compliance plans, as executed, to ensure that competition was not harmed by the merger. The audit focused on the protection of competitively sensitive information during the administration of hundreds of post-merger agreements, through access restrictions on information systems, and separation within shared facilities. The audit also evaluated the effectiveness of the antitrust compliance training program maintained by each company.
