We developed evidence that identified misconduct by a cooperating government witness in an insider trading case.
For a defendant accused in a federal criminal insider trading case, Nardello & Co. developed evidence that identified misrepresentations and misconduct by a cooperating government witness. Undertaking open-source research in public records maintained in multiple jurisdictions in North America and Europe, social media accounts, and discovery material, we exposed false statements made to a prior employer and uncovered the cooperator’s motive to testify falsely against the client. Additionally, Nardello & Co.’s digital forensics investigators analyzed data retrieved from a device used by the witness to highlight the witness’s lack of candor. Counsel is using the information developed by Nardello & Co. to craft a trial strategy.
